Weekly Update
I heard:
--Little Miss B read her tiny little scriptures all by herself. This is what I was able to jot down "It came to pass that you always do your best, listen to your mom and dad, never give up, be quiet at church, I know it's really hard, it's hard for me too, but you can do it. Whoever wants you to be good, loves you so you should do it. I'm not a forgetter. make sure you be good to your parents all of the time" :) I missed a lot of it, but those were a few of the phrases she said. :)
--Ry read me old love letters. Melted my heart all over again.
--my friend is having a baby a few weeks after me!!! So excited for her.

I saw:
--my hair go from blond to brunett
--the floor in little miss B's room, after doing an intense deep clean. Truely this is a miracle.

I tasted:
--fruit smoothies almost everyday for breakfast. Yum!!!
--my very favorite salad at craft day potluck this week.

I felt:
--worried when my boys did not come straight home from school last week. They were helping a little neighborhood kid and I'm proud of them, but it sure had me scared.
--grateful when the Bishop read a letter from the 1st presidency today about young men saving for their mission. We have implemented a new chore/responsibilty chart and set in motion ways for the kids to earn money for mission/savings, tithing and spending. Yesterday was their first "payday" and they started their little mission funds. (we don't do allowance) They both beamed from ear to ear as he read the letter. I love when leaders reinforce the things that you are teaching at home.

I struggled:
--keeping up with the dishes. I'm good about getting the dishwasher loaded, but my pots and pans have been soaking a little more than usual.
--scrapbooking layouts. I am in a rut that I can't seem to get out of. I'm not loving the way my pages are turning out.

I accomplished:
--organzing my dresser
--organizing miss B's room
--my goal of blogging more often so I don't get so far behind again.

I am looking forward to:
--answers to prayers. I know they will come, just trying to stay happy while I wait
--temple day on Tues, we missed last week and I hate that feeling
--helping a friend carry out a craft night for 200+ people. yikes, but fun!!!
--printing the blog into a book

love letters

Ry and I always rotate who is in charge of date night. Although I LOVE dinner and a movie, we don't want to do that ALL the time. Plus there really isn't anything out right now worth seeing. Well...This week it was my turn to plan the evening. I have been working hard out in the garage all week and I came across this little box of love letters. YEP....I have kept them all. (I also have our letters from his mission) so I grabbed them and off we went on our date.

First I let him pick where to eat for dinner. Then we headed to the park and found a nice quiet spot to read to each other with a flash light.

It was seriously sooooo much fun. I fell in love with him all over again with each little letter. There was one that was sweet but a bit cheesy. It was hillarious to listen to Ry read and watch him get embarresed. (he kept saying, wow this ones really bad, but I loved it) We both got the giggles soooo hard. I love dates where you really reconnect and grow closer to each other. This one definately did that.

Then I pulled out some paper and we wrote new love letters to add to the collection. He's very sweet and makes me feel blessed to be the wife and mother of his children. He definately lifts me up and inspires me to be better!

Although this is not the most flattering photo, I wanted to document this fun night we had together. I sure am a lucky girl!

Nephi Builds a Ship

Ry gave the lesson for FHE. He summarized the story of Nephi building the ship. He had the kids and I take turns reading various scriptures and added comments and such as we went.

There is something about the kids actually reading the story right out of the scriptures that I just love.

I cut and colored this boat found in the friend magazine with Laman, Lemuel and Nephi for a visual for Little Miss B. It was a simple but good lesson. We talked about how Heavenly Father will always help us and show us the way to do the things we are asked to do.

We enjoyed yummy Nephi ships and water for treats. I heart FHE!!!

All grown up

The other day while the boys and I was running errands Ry packed up a picnic to take to the park. When I got home they were ready to go.

As we sat there I realized how indepentdent and big little B is getting. She did a great job opening her juice box all by herself.

She has also got the hang of swinging all by herself.

Blue and Gold Banquet

Last night was the Blue and Gold Banquet at Scouts. They did a cute Survivor theme with fun games, yummy food and cute decore.

J-man earned his Bear badge. When we were walking home he said how excited he is to finally get to go to Webelos with Sister Anna and Ethington. I told him he still had to wait until his birthday. He was soooo disappointed, he can NOT wait to go on to Webelos!!!

Good job on all your hard work. You're such a great little kid!

Presidents Day

Yesterday was Presidents Day.

I was hoping there was some community event going on, but we couldn't find anything.

Since the kids were out of school and Ry didn't have to work til the afternoon we headed out to Golf land

We had a lot of fun together.

After golfing, we all went out for lunch

When we got home we worked out in the garage and got a TON done. Our friends own their own business and have been saving boxes for us. It has been wonderful!!! They are nice good size sturdy boxes. Collecting boxes is my least favorite part of moving, so I am thrilled about them helping us out. We ended the night with Nachos and watched "The Adventure of Natty Gann" It's an old Disney movie that we found when cleaning out the garage. The kids really liked it. It was a wonderful day!!!

Weekly Update

I heard:
--Jman's teacher say at parent teacher conference that he is "honestly the only kid I have never had a single issue with. He is always on task, tries hard and stays focused. He never messes around and all the other children love him" It melted my heart to hear.
--Kguy's teacher say "he is a hard worker, and is always trying to improve. He has a witty humor that she loves, most of the kids his age can't come up with things as quick as him, he is hillarious"
--the boys in Ryan's young mens group love him because he tells the best stories and he talks to them like people, not babies. haha :)

I saw:
--the movie Courageous. SOOOOO good AND clean. Cried like a baby though.
--really cute baby clothes. I can not wait to find out what we are having!!! It's going to be sooo much fun getting ready for our baby.

I tasted:
--3 of my favorite resturaunts Costa Vida, Matta's and Tia Rosa's. Best part ...I didn't have to pay for any of them!
--Fresh squeezed lemonade from my sweet friend Gwen, who always gives me lemons off her tree cuz she knows Lemonade is my FAVORITE!!!!

I felt:
--soooo blessed to be married to such an amazing man who is a hands on Dad and so involved with every aspect of our lives. These feelings were especially strong after watching the movie Courageous. So happy my kids have such an amazing dad.
--butterflies as I got ready for my date with Ryan.
--proud to be Kguys mom after I recieved a phone call from another parent telling me what an AWESOME kid Ky is and how he stood up and defended his son who was being mistreated at the campout. Being a victim of it before, I am soooo glad he will ALWAYS put an end to it no matter who is involved, and sadly he got treated pretty cruddy cuz of it, but he would do it again in a heartbeat. And for that I feel very blessed to have such an amazing son!
--embarressed when...well nevermind...we don't need to go there. Lets just say I don't think I'll be going to Tia Rosa's for awhile. :) hahahahah!!!! good times though.

I struggled:
--with sending my first born off to boys camp. It was a happy struggle, he was soooo excited and I wasn't about to rain on his parade, but it is sooooo weird to see him growing up soooo fast.
--sleep. For some reason I wake up at 3am every morning and can NOT go back to sleep until about 6. I get up for the day at 6:30. ughhh... I hope this phase passes quickly.

accomplished:
--a lot of decluttering. It feels sooo good to go thru and get rid of stuff
--remembering my prenatals morning AND night. I was forgetting one or the other for a few days, but I finally have a system down.

I am looking forward to:
--Prestidents Day tomorrow and some fun plans we've made
--trying some new things off of pintrest
--starting my new book that arrived in the mail this week

Growing up

Each new stage your child goes thru is always bitter sweet. I just sent Ky-guy out the door on his very first (of many) Boy scout campouts. Ry typically goes on all of them because he is in YM's but he has a big Police Officer training starting at 5am so he is only going up for tonight. I think that is why all of the sudden I had reservations about sending my "baby" on a campout. We don't do sleep over other than cousins or very close (family like) friends. so I'm a little freaked out. haha. I know it will be alright. It's just a whole new experience for me.

We wanted to make sure that Ky-guy knows how to put up and take down his two man tent without any help. Ry was there every step of the way, but he had Ky-guy do it all.

It was his first time, and he had no problems.

Seeing him in that tiny tent, made me realize just how big he is getting. He is ALMOST taller than me. *sigh* :)

Little B was too sick for school on valentines day. Her sweet teacher brought by her basket full of Valentines and it sure made her happy. We decided since it is still the month of LOVE she could still go all decked out with hearts. She wore her cute little red shirt with teeny tiny hearts on them and her shoes with hearts.

Then we made heart pig tails tied with heart Ribbon. The perfect look for my little sweetheart!

Valentines Day

I decorated the table the night before Valentines day so the kids could wake up to a fun surprize.

Each child got a box of chocolates with a picture that fits their intrests.

although I will never understand it...little B loves cats. hahah. So the was the purrrfect valentine for her.

this pirate valentine just screamed J-man to me. I sure do treasure him.

Ky guy has been begging for a dog for years. So when I saw this I knew it was the one for him. He sure does have a big spot in my heart.

It's kind of hard to tell in the picture but we ate cute heart shaped bacon. The boys LOVED them. Unfortunately little B had a really bad night and never even made it to the table on Valentines day. It's just so sad to see her suffer. Ryan and his friend gave her a blessing though and it was after that we started to see some major improvement.

Ry and I were going to go to the temple during preschool and out to lunch to celebrate but little B was too sick to go, plus Ry got called into court. He sent me these pretty flowers

and spoiled me with this cricut cartridge I have had my eye on for quite a while.

I was going to have little B make some super cute valentines for her class, but she just wasn't up to it this year so we just gave them the store bough M&M treats. For her teacher I made this ABC, I LOVE U card. I do love her teacher. Not only as an amazing teacher but one of the most genuine kindest people I know. She text to see how Becca was feeling and I told her that her and I were not doing so well. She told me that her hubby was sick too. Then not even 10 minutes later she showed up at my door with some yummy dinner and snacks for the kids. I was touched by her thoughtfulness espeically with sickness in her house too.

Although it wasn't a valentines day that one would think was too exciting, it was definately one of the sweetest. I knew without a doubt that I am loved and cared for and what more could you ask for. I am so very very blessed!

F-I-V-E!

You would never guess by looking at these pictures that little B was soooo sick on her birthday. She seriously spent the entire day sleeping on the couch or my bed. Her fever finally broke and she felt well enough to decorate her cake about 6pm.

What a big girl, she is finally 5.

When I asked her what color cake she wanted she said white. I was really surprized. I thought for sure it would be pink or purple. She did the M&M's on the edge and I did the 5 in the middle

I saw this cute heart cake idea on pintrest so we did that. A white heart. She loved it.

Next we did presents. She was so out of it in the morning and didn't feel like opening presents before Ry left for work so we did it at night with the boys instead. She LOVED each and every present. Thank you!!!

Next, she made a wish and blew out the candles. After this picture was taken she went back to not feeling well and broke out with another fever. It's no fun being sick but especially on your birthday, darn. She was so sweet the entire day though and I hope she feels better soon.

Happy Birthday Sweet little B. You bring so much laughter and happiness into our home. We love you to pieces!!!!

SOOOOO excited!!!

Here is the Valentine we sent out to all our peeps.

We found out the day before Christmas Eve. I am now well into my 2nd trimester. 14 1/2 weeks. We had an untrasound last tuesday and everything looks great. The baby was sooooo wiggly. My friend Staci offered to watch little B so Ryan could come with me to the ultra sound. I'm glad he was there. The baby was sooooo wiggly. I don't remember seeing such an active little ultrasound. It sure was exciting!!!

Little B is convinced it is a girl. She said all the white stuff is loooon hair like Rapunzel. haha. :)

Weekly update

I heard:
--Happy Birthday being sung to little B. Can't believe she is already 5.
--Little B ask Dad to "cancel work" every single day. She is definately a daddy's girl and I love it!
--The babys fast strong heartbeat

I smelled:
--lots of baked goods coming from our oven. Birthday and valentines day treats. Mmmm...

I saw:
--an active tiny little baby wiggle all over the place during the ultrasound. Adorable!!!!
--14 little friends having fun at little B's birthday party. It was a success.

I tasted:
--banana splits at the end of our date night. We decided instead of going out for icecream we'd buy some toppings and take them home to share with the kids. They were so excited, I'm glad we did it.
--birthday cake and icecream

felt:
--Blessed and humbled to know that I get to be a mom again, and happy the secret is out to everybody now.
--exhausted after staying up late braiding lots of strands of yarn for little B's party. It was so worth it tho to see the excitement on the little girls faces.
--like an administrative assistant as I work on or budget and new chore chart system for the kids. I do love a having an organized system in place so it'll totally be worth it.

I struggled:
--with my sewing machine. I for the life of me could not get the leather for the flynn rider satchels to run thru my machine. It finally worked, but was very frusterating for a day or two.
--with watching my birthday girl feel so miserable on her actual birthday. Glad she was fine for her party tho.

I accomplished:
--a fun Rapunzel birthday party for 14 of little B's friends.
--keeping up on the laundry and getting it all put away.

I am looking forward to:
--scrapbooking day and getting more pages complete
--getting over this cough and cold, it's wiping me out

Rapunzel Party

Today we had a fun Rapunzel party for our little Birthday girl.

I made a big tower for the kids to play in and to get pictures in.
Each little girl that came got a LONG braid to wear.

The boys all went home with a satchel. I was a little worried if they would think it looked like a purse, but I'd say they were the hit of the party. The boys LOVED them and that made me soooo glad I took the time to make them. I got the pattern off of the Supermommomnets blog.

As the guest arrived they got to draw their favorite part of the Tangeld movie on the drive way. I LOVED this cute Rapunzel with the floating lanterns. Too cute!

We did Maximus horse races. I loved that most of the kids just held the horse instead of putting it between the legs and galloping like I pictured. haha.

We did a donut eating contest with a hanging donut and the kids had to eat it without using their hands. It was hilarious to watch.

These to were a riot. This was after they had been trying awhile. The donuts kept rolling around. If you look close you can see the powder on their cute cheeks. :)

Next we played pin the fry pan on Flynn.

The kids thought this was funny.

My boys were such great helpers. J-man helped us play a fishing game in the tower.

Everyone got a pascal the chameleon party blower.

Next we Tangled up the kids in Rapunzel's hair (yellow streamers) and had them see if they could work together and walk across the yard to the dads and back without breaking the hair.

They had to work together and did a really great job with it. Then of course the fun part. They got to get untangled. :)

Next we opened presents. Each guest got a tangled sticker when they gave the Birthday girl her gift. That made it easy to see who had already gone and helped keep the kids sitting down.

I knew I wanted to make a tower cake, but it seemed really intimidating to me. It actually ended up being the easiest cake ever, but it's probably because the tower is not edible. haha. I just made a 13X9 cake. Frosted it green for the grass and then decorated a pringles can for the tower. If you look close you can see the vines in green going up the tower. Rapunzel is a pez candy holder the birthday girl got from aunt Christy and I braided some craft floss for the braid. We got lots of ohhh and ahhhh from parents and kids. I loved it!!!

One cute boy blew out her candles while they were singing to her. We almost had tears but Dad was on it and re-lit them quick. shew....no crying at your own party. haha

There we go!!! She got them all by herself this time. It's parties like this that make me so glad I do these for my kids. Every single one of the kids was adorable and so cute about each and every little detail. It makes all the hard work all worth it to see the magic in their eyes. We are soooo lucky to have out sweet little birthday girl in our home, she is a pure joy. I hope all her birthday cake wishes come true!!!!!
