Just how many babies live here anyway?

I kid you not, Becca has been the biggest busy body it feels more so today than most. I'm glad I grabbed the camera and decided I'd document all her busy ness for today. She definately keeps me on my toes. It seems she NEVER stops. Although this could be frusterating, she is so cute and seriously giggles when I say "Rebecca Ann" that I find her busy ness rather comical. I'm glad she's here to keep me entertained.

Becca LOVES to turn the T.V. off and on over and over on whomever is watching. Then when we say Becca she laughs and sometimes claps. I was trying to watch Little House on the Prarie while Ironing, but oh well, she was fun to watch.

Then she moved on to the Living room, removing all of the cushions off my couch.

The family room couch cushions are hard to get off so she always comes in this room for her daily daily dose of cushion removal.
Then while putting clothes away in her room she decided to empty out all of her diapers from the changing table.

Help...I'm buried in diapers. (oh well, at least they are clean).

Of course she has figured out how to break into the child proof cupboards.

Becca loves to keep me company while I do the dishes.

Now the boys room, I was putting Kyle's clothes away when Becca decided to unload Jadens drawer.
She is definately my daughter, One of Becca's favorite things to get into are my scrapbook supplies. Now out of all the busy things she did today, this is the only one that I was not too thrilled about.
Look at her cute little tounge sticking out. Ohhh what a doll!

Jaden's 6th Birthday Party

Jaden had a Pirate Party this year.

We used an empty pop bottle and I made these lables out of paper to cover the pop lable, attached with some ribbon. The bottle was then filled with sand and some mini sea shells and topped with the message rolled up in the bottle.

I ripped and then inked the edge to look old and worn followed with pirate talk in the letter. I had an X over our address to mark the spot.

We had a big pirate ship for the kids to play in. They loved it.

I made pirate swords out of those long twisty balloons for each little friend. Then we started our "rainbow treasure hunt"
Attention all pirates, we've stolen your loot, its time for a treasure hunt, we're sure you'll have a hoot. Follow the colors of the rainbow so you can know which way to go. This was in red they knew to go to the red bag which is where I had the swords, they had to use a hook I made to grab their sword. in the bottom of the bag was the next clue.

If you want to find the long lost treasure, follow the clues with fun and pleasure. The first thing to do is find the 2nd clue in the color BLUE.
We then played musical island. Each child who was out had to walk the plank. You can't see it in this pic. When the game was over we found the next clue, under the plank.

The next clue said: Your next clue is rather fishey, so grab your pole and make a wishy
They found the orange colored fish and got to go fishing.

Each child caught a pirate eye patch in the fish pond. The last child that went also caught the next clue.

next clue: Keep looking my sunny fellow, the next clue is the color YELLOW

at the yellow station I made yellow boats that they each got to blow on 3 times to make it move, in a yellow tub of water. After the last boy went we dumped the water and found the next clue taped on the bottom of the tub.

next clue: Don’t be in water after dark, for if you do you might see a shark
this picture was actually taken after the party because I forgot to get one, but they actually had to stand in the ship and throw two cannon balls into the sharks mouth. The next clue was taped to the top of this box.

Rain Rain go away, come again another day. pirates search for gold no matter what the weather ! The treasure was found just to the left of this little rain cloud with purple raindrops hiding under our trailer at the side of our house.

The treasure was a big treasure that had individual treasure sacks inside along with chocoalte candy coins.

I gathered all the individual treasures and as each child gave Jaden his gift they got their treasure bag from him filled with party favors.

Next we heading inside for cake and ice cream.

each child had their own indivitual chocolate ship, you can't see it but each of the sails had Pirate and the kids name on it, so they found their boat and then got icecream. On the island we had a pirate a number 6 candle and a palm tree

This was such a fun party to do and everyone seemed to have a lot of fun. I dressed up like a pirate with hoop earing. a red shirt with a black shirt on top, capri's folded big on the bottom, sandals, a variety of seashells necklace and an eye patch. It was fun.
Happy Birthday my cute little pirate!

Kyle's 7th Birthday Party!

Here is a look at the star wars invitation we did for Kyle's star wars party inspired by my best friend Amy. The top says You're Invited...

When you pull on the tab the light saber turns on (opens up) with all the party information. It was printed in the jedi font on my computer. the kids all thought these were AWESOME! When the children arrived they were told they were going to do some jedi training. Each kid got jedi clothes they looked sooo cute and looked like real jedi's. They also got to pick from a blue or red light saber, which was made out of a swimming noodle cut in half wrapped with a little bit of duct tape on the bottom for the handle.

The kids loved playing in this child size x-wing spaceship I made them.

for one of the game we had the kids use side walk chalk and draw a picture of the Death Star.

When they were all done they each got 3 water balloons and got to try to destroy/bomb the death star.

we also played Star Wars bingo using m&m's for the game pieces. They all seemed to like it and some even took the cards home. We played a couple of other games like pin the ear on Yoda, and Save Princess Leia, each child had 7 balloon with a picture of one of the Star Wars character inside, they had to pop them each to find princess Leia. but I didn't get any pictures of these games.

To work on our jedi skills we played a light saber ring toss, but they had to keep their eyes closed, (again no pictures) :( and then we had them close their eyes and use the force to try and open the garage. I told them to keep their eyes closed until it was all the way open. We had the door go half way up and then go back down a few times and I told them they needed to try harder. I had the garage door clicker in my pocket. Then finally they got it all the way open and...

that is when they ran into Darth Vadar. Ryan was on the other side of the garage waiting for them.

The kids LOVED fighting him., and he was oh so cute with them.

Inside Kyle opened his presents.

Kyle ended up with 5 different light sabers but each in a different color so Kyle didn't mind.

Kyle making a big wish before blowing out his candles.

I made the cake in the shape of an X-wing with long pretzel sticks for the shooters. The kids LOVED it!

Happy Birthday my little Christmas baby, so sorry it took so long to have your party but I think it was worth the wait. I love you!

Thankful Thursday

My friend always has the cutest little themes for different days of the week on her blog so I thought I'd try it out. I don't know that I'll do one every day, but I thoguht I'd try a Thankful Thursday for today

So here are my 10 reasons why I am so thankful and LOVE being a Mom to my darling little children.
1. The unsolicited kisses - who doesn't want one of those?
2. Talking to the kids one on one as I tuck them in. I love the little random conversations we have, and hearing about feelings and experiences they are having.
3. Getting to re-read some of my childhood books with an eager audience.
4. Feeling those little arms around my neck when we hug
5. Getting to play with Play doh, Crayons, Little People, pretend food and baby dolls without someone looking at me funny.
6. throwing parties for them and watching how excited and appreciative they get
7. Hearing them bless me in their prayers at night
8. The smile they get on their face whenever I look at them.
9. listening to them play together and giggle not just a laugh, but that hard deep from the gut giggle
10. and the thing I am most thankful for about being a mom is knowing that these little ones are mine for All ETERNITY! nothing brings me greater happiness.
