Day 253, 8/31/09

"MOMMEEEE............ I SARED"

That's what I heard after tucking sweet little {B} in bed. We had a big Monsoon storm tonight and it scared her quite a bit.

This is the look she would give me anytime she heard the thunder.

I told her it was raining and the trees were getting a drink of water. It helped a little, but all she really wanted was to sleep in {K}'s bed. He's such a darling big brother and I love that she knows he will keep her safe. What a sweet little bond these two share.

Day 252, 8/30/09

The kids looks soooo darling I just had to take a picture of them on our way to church!

Today I feel extra blessed to be the Mommy of such wonderful little kids. They were so well behaved and reverent and it was just an all around great day! I LOVE Sundays!

{R} took {J} to Krispey Kreme for their monthly Father Interview. I love the cute little bond these two share and hope that our kids will always be so open and willing to talk to us about what's going on in their lives. So glad {R} started this tradition with them when they were so young. The kids love the one on one with dad!

Day 240, 8/28/09

I LOVE date night!!!

This week {R} took me to the temple. I felt an overwhelming feeling of peace this visit and I just didn't want to leave. I love how rejuvenated I feel!

After the temple we went to Texas Roadhouse for a yummy steak dinner. It was so fun just chatting and being together.

Day 249, 8/27/09

I have had so much fun watching {J} the last few days since starting 2nd grade. He is a quick learner and always makes me laugh. He started piano this year and is loving it. {J} has such a big heart. I have never known a kid to look so much like his dad as {J} does, and he copies everything his daddy does. He even decided that sausage is his favortie kind of pizza instead of pepperoni just like his dad. {J} is a great brother and caters to anything {B} asks of him.

Days 237 and 238

Day 237, 8/25/09

I can't get over how big my baby is. I got to thinking today how I remember things so vividly from when I was his age, that's crazy to me. He is such a good little boy with a huge heart. He is a great leader and example to his little siblings and his friends. He asks the best questions during family scripture study and it is so fun to see his testimony grow. I feel very blessed to get to be his mom. He sure makes me proud!

Day 238, 8/26/09

We invited two of {B}'s little friends over and had a little tea party lunch. The girls were so adorable and were giddy about the tiny little dishes. They especially thought it was neat when I let them pour their own lemonade. It was so fun to be doing something so simple yet WAY exciting for them. They all had a blast! (and so did I)

Days 227-236

It's been quite the adjustment getting back into the school routine and such but I think I'm finally back on top of things. So back to my scrapbooking Project 365 Challenge...

Day 227 8/15/09
{B} really really wanted to go swimming. It was dinner time and we had a lot going on so I let her go swimming in the bath tub. She thought it was the greatest thing ever!

Day 228, 8/16/09

This is how we found {B} when we checked in on her before going to bed ourselves. What a cutie!

Day 229, 8/17/09

We had a FHE lesson on service. We had the boys get on their hands and knees and put a cup of water on their back and told them to try and get it off without spilling any. They tried and were unable to do it. It was funny to watch them try.

Then we had {B} help them and talked about how service is when you do something for someone that they can't do themselves. Then we picked some service projects to do as a family in honor of President Monson's Birthday (which out primary had asked us to do) We decided to take dinner and diapers to our friends who just had a baby and we took cookies to one of the boys friends who are not members. We also invited them to come to scouts with us.

Headed to Hobby Lobby to get supplies for some piano bags I wanted to make for the boys.

{J}'s first day of piano lessons. He LOVED it!!!

Day 232, 8/20/09

Summer is over and we started Den Meetings up again. We had a lot of fun playing water games and eating popsicles.

Day 233, 8/21/09

{B} was playing in my purse while I was in the phone. She came up to me with my sunglasses on and keys in hand and said "I go bye-bye, see ya later"

Day 234, 8/22/09
{B} was very happy the boys didn't have to go to school. All three played so cute together. {J} is so patient with her and just rolls with whatever she wants him to do.

Day 235, 8/23/09

{B} looked so adorable in her Sunday dress. She is such a sweetheart and just melts my heart.

Day 236, 8/24/09

Monday is laundry day around here. I like to start early and get it all done in one day. {B} is always my little shadow and has to put the clothes in the dryer from the washer and clean the lint vent for me and help drop the clothes in the wash. It takes longer with her "help", but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love that she is learning how things should be done and is so willing to help.

Day 226, 8/14/09

{B} decided to give herself a haircut. Little stinker!!! I realize it could have been a lot worse and I'm so glad she didn't cut off her beautiful curls.

Day 225, 8/13/09

Now that school is back it's time to start doing Cub Scouts again. I wanted to take each boy a fun treat along with the calendar so I made these little boxes with my cricut.

They slide open and a cookie was inside. I delivered them last night and they were all so excited. It's going to be a great year I love serving my little Wolves.

Day 224, 8/12/09 First Day of School

Today was the first day of school. The summer went by way to fast and I didn't even get done half of what I wanted to with the kids. We sure had fun and I'm going to miss them and I think {B} is REALLY gonna miss her buddies.

We started the day off with German Pancakes, followed by family scripture study and then they were off.

{K} ready for is first day of 3rd grade.

Every year we have chocolate chip back to school cookies. We sit around the table and eat cookies while they share all the exciting news of the day. It was so cute when the kids got home {B} ran right to them and gave them each a HUGE hug. They both loved school and can't wait to go back!

Day 222 8/10/09

For FHE tonight {R} gave the boys each a back to school Fathers Blessing like we do every year.

Can't believe we have a 2nd and 3rd grader this year. Where has the time gone? We went over to the school to meet the teachers. They seem nice, I'm excited for the boys.

{B} didn't want to be left out.

Day 221 8/9/09

{K} is not feeling well today. Little {B} has taken it upon herself to be his nurse and keeps bringing him toys, pillows, blankets, books ect...he's hasn't felt up to what she brings him, but he's sure a good sport. Hope he's feeling better tomorrow for meet the teacher.

{B} LOVES to play dress up. She seems to change her outfits all day long. Her favorite are her big full skirt dresses. Today she had a "princess dress" on with her summer hat. What a cutie!

Day 219 8/7/09

Tonight we had "late night" which is earned by going to bed on time all week long. The kids each got to pick a movie to rent, then we came home made our pizza's and got to stay up late. The kids LOVE it and it makes bed time during the week such a breeze.

Day 220 8/8/09

Today we had a no technology day. No tv, video games or computer. The kids didn't seem to mind at all. We need to do this more often. The boys played sorry about 3 times in a row, we also played twister, uno and go fish. Then they made a treasure map for {B} and I to find the treasure which was a pile of cute pictures they had colored earlier in the day.

Day 217, 8/5/09 Alphabet Summer letter Z

Today we decorated our letter Z's with Zebra stripes.

Then we sorted all of our broken crayons, took the paper off the and baked them in the oven,

when they were all melted we put them in candy molds to make Zoo animal crayons

Then we colored Zoo animals with our Zoo animal crayons. The kids thought these were awesome!

Then they enjoyed a yummy little debbie Zebra cupcake

We were so happy to be able to attend my Brothers marriage to Lisa. She is such an amazing lady and I am so glad he found her. It's so nice to see him happy again since losing his wife after the birth of their 5th child 2 1/2 years ago. Lisa is very sensitve to the childrens feelings and just so much fun to be around.

It was a very emotional day for me, very tuff, but very good! I am so grateful for the temple/gospel and for Forever Families. MaryAnn will always have a very special place in my heart, and I love Lisa with all my heart too!

They had a beautiful reception in Lisa's sisters backyard that night but unfortunately I don't have any pictures, but I won't go there :) We are so happy for Rob, Lisa and the kids.

Day 214, 8/2/09

We got up really early and made the loooong ride home. We had a lot of fun, but it was soooo nice to finally be home. {R} is not allowed to have facial hair at work so he grew a goatee while on vacation. I actually love the bald head goatee look. Too bad it had to go!

{R} brought home some beautiful flowers just because. He is so good to me and I love him very much!

{B} loves to play dress up. She wore this "princess" dress and hat all after noon. Oh to be 2 again.
