Days 291-300

Day 291- 10/09/09
The kids were out of school for fall break and we wanted to go on a small little mini vacation. Unfortunately R's has to give the courts notice if we want to leave town and he already had some subpoena's and there is no way out of them. After talking it over we decided that just the kids and I would head to southern Utah. We didn't tell my sister we were coming and my Brother-in-law arranged for her to be gone while we slipped in the house. When she got home we had {B} sitting on a stool in the entry way. It was hilarious. Christy was speechless and just so cute about it. She is such a cute fun aunt. She has a whole bunch of Halloween books and {B} had a ball listening to Christy read them to her.
Day 292, 10/10/09
{B} had a blast with her cute little cousin {E}. They were pretty much joined at the hip and just so funny together.

Day 293, 10/11/09
The girls had fun in the HUGE bath tub, what cute bathing beauties!

Day 294, 10/12/09
Best buds {J} and {J} were so-oooo happy to see each other again. All the kids had so much fun playing together just like the good ol' days.

Day 295, 10/13/09
{B} LOVED Amy's new baby. She was all grins and giggles with him. Tom is still working up north so Amy is alone all week and I wanted to make her some freezer meals so I spent some time in her kitchen making her some quick and easy meals for her to use as she needs them. She is amazing and has a lot on her plate right now, but is always so positive. What a great example she is too me.

Day 296, 10/14/09
{B} and {I} had fun playing peek-a-boo with me in the play house.

these two little monkeys just picked right up from where they left off and were so cute together.

I'm still crossing my fingers that they will one day be married. Wouldn't they just be the cutest couple ever!!!

Day 297, 10/15/09
Only in Delta...right?! We got stuck in a heard of sheep. It was crazy and I was beginning to get a bit claustrophobic but was kinda neat to see. This picture doesn't even do justice to how many there were. This was the very tail end of it. It took about 25 minutes to get through it.

Day 298, 10/16/09
Grandma/pa Mitchell took us to the Muesem. It was awesome.

Grandpa bought us all a souvenirs from the gift shop, thank you!!! {j} Loved the animals and had fun posing with all of them. He's such a little ham, this pic is my favorite one.

Day 299, 10/17/09
The girls all had a blast on a little shopping trip. Grandma spoiled {B} and {K} with these cute little die cuts at the scrapbook store. {b} still carries hers around and talks about Grandma and the baby.

Day 300, 10/18/09
Christy had all the kids make mini pizza's. {B} LOVED every second of it.

Yummy!!! So did {J}

It was a fun trip. We were sad to not have our daddy with us, but are looking forward to another trip to Utah next month. We can't wait!!!

Days 283-290

Day 283, 10/01/09
Tonight we went to the schools fundraiser dinner night at McDonalds. We hardly ever go to McD's so my kids were extra excited.

It was super busy and a bit crazy, but we had fun and it's for a good cause. Glad we got to go and support our school.

Day 284, 10/02/09
Today at scouts we made posters for the boys to display at our next Pack Meeting. They are all so talented and came up with some great creations.

Day 285, 10/03/09
To say my sister Christy LOVES Halloween would be an understatement. She goes all out with the cutest little decorations and throws the most amazing parties every year. We have always loved going to her parties and are so sad she moved away. Even though she is far away she has still managed to bring the party to us. She gave me a packet of fun halloween activities to do with the kids a couple of years ago, and we still use them. This year she sent this picture of half the face of the witch among other things. The boys loved trying to draw the other half. They turned out so cute. She is such a stinkin cute Aunt. We love her to pieces!

Day 286, 10/04/09
Today I was busy making a hooded towel for one of our cute little friends who is turning two. We also gave her some new jammies, some crayola changing water colors and some bath toys.

here it is all wrapped up ready to go.

Day 287, 10/05/09
We enjoyed listening to conference. It was just SOOOO good and exactly the lift I needed. We used our poster again this year but this time I gave the kids some post-it pads and they wrote down what each person talked about and then hung it near the picture, (another idea I got from Christy). It was cute to see their little notes. (not sure why I didn't get a picture of those, oh well)

here is a re-cap of conference. It doesn't quite do justice to how good it was, but it will be a great reference for upcoming FHE preperations.
Day 288 10/06/09
It was {K}'s turn to give the lesson for FHE. He said he knew exactly what he wanted to do and he didn't need my help just a rope. He ended up teaching us about the Iron Rod. It was awesome! He gave different examples of things we should and shouldn't do. If it was good we would walk forward holding to the rod but if it was bad we had to let go of the Rod and go back to the end. I can't believe how grown up my little boy is getting. {R} and I were so impressed with his lesson, Good job little buddy!
Day 289, 10/07/09
I loved the Visiting Teaching message this month. We have such a huge responsibility in nurturing our children and supporting/encouraging our youth. Our world is soooo scary but the youth and children here at this time are special and have what it takes to stand up and be strong. I don't envy them and the world they are living in, but I do applaude them and their steadfastness!

Day 290, 10/08/09
I envited a couple of friends over for lunch. It was so fun to sit and chat and be together. Here is how I decorated the table. I had fun doing it!

Day 280 9/27/09
When we were in Utah we went to Magelbys for my brothers wedding dinner. They had the BEST rolls and I have been craving them ever since. I was so excited when I was able to find a recipe for them online. They are absolutely delicious. You just use your favorite roll recipe and then melt butter roll your dough balls in the butter and then roll it in the topping that's it. Mmm...mmm...
here's the topping if your interested.
1 cup Parmesan cheese
1-2 tsp. dried parsley
1 tsp. garlic salt
Melt butter in a small bowl. Mix Parmesan, parsley and garlic salt in another bowl. Roll dough in butter, then in cheese mixture. Place on greased cookie sheet and allow to raise. Bake at 350 for about 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden brown.
Day 281 9/28/09
The weather has finally cooled down a little and we have enjoyed many walks to the park. This morning we took along {B}'s baby.
Day 282, 9/29/09
I have made a personal goal to make the time for scrapbooking and doing what I want without feeling guilty about it. I usually scrapbook once the kids are in bed, but today I had to make some cards and {B} wanted to create too. She had a great time using her new princess stickers and crayons. If you'd like to see the scrapbook pages I've made click here
