Good News!

First of all I just want to say, thank you for all the prayers and words of comfort. We are so blessed to have such amazing people in our lives.

We just wanted to update everybody with our test results on the baby. We met with the specialist yesterday. She went over what all the numbers from the test results mean. They for sure ruled our Trisomy 13-18 which is good those are fatal. They also ruled out spinal bifida. They only thing that they were not able to definitely rule out is Down Syndrome. They said the level 2 ultra sound will be able to catch all of the indicators of Downs. We just got home from the ultra sound and from everything they could see our baby looks healthy and none of the indicators showed up. They said it’s not 100% accurate, but all of the major things they look for they could not see. The next test would be an amniocentisis. But after going over the risks we opted out. We feel it is too invasive. There is a higher risk of losing the baby than there is of it having Down Syndrome and it’s just not worth the risk to us. Plus we feel pretty confident with the Ultra sound results and are ready for whatever is to be.

I had never had a 3D ultra sound before and it was awesome. My favorite part was seeing the baby yawn. Soo cute! We are happy to say that the baby cooperated this time and we are sooooo excited to be having another little girl in our family!

We only have boy names picked out so send me some cute names. I'm stumped. haha

what to do????

My head is spinning right now. I don't know if you have ever seen the Anderson Talk Show, but I love it. Today he did a show on Bullies and as weird as it may sound I know that I was inspired to turn it on. J-man had just left for scouts, Little Miss B was busy creating in the kitchen. So it was just me and Ky-guy. We started watching it together and ended up having the best heart to heart. The show just broke my heart. I had known that things were ruff at school, but he opened up and told me just how bad things are. I could not speak.....I wanted to, there was a lot that came to my mind, but I had the very clear prompting that said "HOLD YOUR TONGUE,(haha) and hear him out" Although I don't know exactly the best way to move forward. Talking to the school or parents is a complete joke. I've tried to just let things blow over and work themselves out, but it was brought to my attention loud and clear today that it is sooo much worse than I thought. I am proud of Ky-guy for his bravery and refuseal to lower his standards and stoop to the same level of others, but it still really really stinks that he has to go to school and be so miserable. If anyone has some good advice for me I'd love to hear it. Call or email me.

Sidewalk paint

While Jfrog was at school Little Miss B and I painted the driveway. Yep that's right PAINTED the driveway. My cute niece has an awesome blog (click here if you want to see it) and she just started doing fun challenges on it. I was excited when I read about the first challenge sidewalk paint and knew we wanted on board.

Little B had a Blast

We wrote a fun birthday message for Jman to find when he got home from school.

Random letters and a flower that Miss B wrote.

A cute sun she painted. She ended up painting for over an hour. She made an adorable rainbow, our family and "scop hotch" (hop scotch) game after I put the camera way.

Thanks Brittley for the fun activity.

One year older and wiser too!

Our little Jman turned 10 today. I can hardly believe it. J is such a hilarious silly happy little boy. He is definately our little peacemaker always trying to keep his big brother or little sister happy. He is so easy going unless it is something he is passionate about. He's a good friend to others always looking out for the underdog. He is a good student but hates going to school. Every morning he asks with a little smerk on his face if he can stay home. I say no and lately he replies with "tartor sauce" (We have no idea where he has picked that up but it cracks me up) He is SO excited to start Weblos and is my fast little worker. He gets right in and gets his chores done without much guff. He currently is obsessed with anything Lego Ninjago.

Ry had to work today so we got up a little early and did presents and breakfast together. J always begs me to buy cocoa puffs. I never do, but today we made the exception. He was soooo happy!

He LOVED all of his gifts and was so happy and excited about each and every one.

We pulled J out of school and took him to lunch. He picked Red Robin and got a huge free birthday sunday. He was soooo excited! Our waiter was hillarious and so cute with J.

I was certain I knew what Jman would request for his birthday dinner. He ALWAYS requests Poppy Seed Chicken. Always that is until this year. He said he wanted pizza. I was a little surprized, but that's easy enough. We bought a big take and bake from Costco

We ended the night with pizza and a movie.

He seemed very happy with the day. It is such an honor to be the mom of such a sweet, kind hearted little boy. I am very blessesd. Happy Birthday little buddy!!!

Weekly Recap

I heard:
My cute friend is pregnant and I couldn't be more thrilled for her. That's now 8 friends of mine all due within 3 months of each other.
Little Miss B sing "I hope you'll call me when I'm on my mission"

I saw:
Our cute neighbor girl get baptized. Such a cutie and good example to the rest of her family. Melts my heart

I tasted:
My favorite salad from Chili's on date night. Mmm, Mmm....
Homemade fresh starwberry lemonade thanks to Gwen who gave me a ton of lemons off her tree

I struggled:
wtih being asked if I was going to kill my baby. Seriously...there is no other way to say it. I just can't wrap my head around the thought that because my child may not be like the rest of the healthy children that they would think I would not want to keep her/him. It was disturbing/offensive they even ask. Although it was theraputic to verbally tell them how bady I want this child and LOVE him/her so much already. I have seen it via ultra sound, felt it move and heard the heart beat. Really you don't think that's murder?! I would never want to stand before my Maker and tell him I did not allow this child to be born. I knew I wanted it, but it was kind of nice to verbally say it out loud and fight for this little one, no matter what challenges may be ahead of us.

I felt:
overwhelmed as I sat down and made my to do list for this week. YIKES!
lonely
Exremely Blessed-peaceful

I accomplished:
J-mans birthday present. Thanks to my mom helping me with sewing machine questions. I think he is going to love it!
putting together 130 headband flower kits and taught them to the mothers/daughters at Heritage Acedemy for a craft night my friend was in charge of.

I am looking forward to:
Jmans Birthday
girls night later in the week to celebrate all of us who are expecting
finishing up kits for Relief Society meeting on Thursday

Tender Mercies

After our news Monday that there is a good chance our baby is going to be born with complications I have gone thru about every emotion there is. Obviously my first reaction was despare. It completely broke my heart and scared me to death. Thanks to several little tender mercies every day this week I can honestly say I am at peace and trust that our Heavenly Father is aware and in control. The phrases "Be still and know that I am God" and "I will not leave you comfortless" have been running thru my mind all week. Here are just a handful of the tender mercies that have brought me so much peace this week.
These two girls are Jessica Blair and Kalli Fox my young women from the Riverview Ward. Jessica called me and said we have to go to lunch THIS week. I of course was all over that. We met up on Wednesday and had a blast. I can not believe how lucky I am to have the girls still such a huge part of my life. It's crazy to think that I was their leader for it is they who lift and inspire me. Jess knew she was supposed to see me this week. It touched my heart and brought tears to my eyes. I told her what was going on with the baby and she shared some really neat tender experiences from the short 10 years she had with her severly handicapped brother. He died when she was 14, I was just barely put in as YW pres and I never got to meet him. She mentioned how he was so full of the spirit and her and her other brother never fought because the spirit was just so strong because of him. Kalli had some sweet thoughts as well. Jessica is going thru some hard times as well and we all agreed that this visit was just what we needed. I just love MY girls. -definately one of my greatest tender mercies.

Tuesday Ry and I were able to go to the temple. I had a very sweet tender experience there. Not going to share it here, but it was special. Complete with a sweet little kick/movement from the baby and the sweetest little moment. After the pinewood derby we met with our Bishop. He gave Ryan and I a Blessing. He also read some scriptures and quotes and gave some wonderful council. We were about to leave and the three of us got talking about family and pre-mission/dating life and ended up chatting for over an hour. I'm sure he had had a loooong day and I had know idea how long we had been until we left. All three of us got laughing and laughing HARD and it was just fun. I think it was the first time I laughed in two days and it felt great. I left his office with the greatest feeling of Peace and a sure knowledge that this baby is very very loved by our Heavenly Father and will be a blessing to our home. And that inspite my insecurities, I will be inspired to know how to help and care for this child.

I was also touched my the sweet emails I have recieved from my best friend and ward family and the big long talk after preschool today with Ms. Staci and Gwen. Along with constant check in texts and invites for icecream or lemonade from them. :) Those two ladies are saints and always leave me feeling uplifted and inspire. Today was fun, sweet and just what I needed to hear.

My Mother-in-laws emails and offer to fly Ry's dad out for the weekend. Great advice and understanding of having a child born with birth defects. My other Mother-in-law calling to check up on us and sending her love meant the world to us. My sis and brother also calling to get more info and know that we are in their prayers.

Call and emails from my parents have lifted me up. My cute dad checking up on me as he is enduring dialysis just touches my heart. My moms way of putting things in perspective and saying exactly what you need to hear to feel comfort.

Calls, emails texts and messages from my brother and sisters. Sharing their feelings and each having such a sweet yet similar insight to things. There is no doubt that there is something exta special about this little one about to join our family. I've felt that and have been told that by more than one sibling.

Lauralee sent an excellent quote from Wilford Woodruff that helped her through the loss of Melanie.

Carrie calling to let me know that we are in their prayers. (we're still playing phone tag, but she ALWAYS brightens my day) and I have listened to her message a couple hundred times.

Rob sharing with me how sweet Downs people are and what an amazing spirit they have with them not just as kids but even as adults. What a blessing it would be to have that in our home at all times.

Ric/ChristyAnn email to have faith and trust in the Lord.

Christy being right there when I found out something was up, and constantly checking up on me. Her excitement to love another Moody child makes me over the moon excited. Sharing that she feels like everything is going to be ok.

Kathy sharing with me that they sat the kids down to tell them what is going on and to include us in their prayers. MyKala told her that she has being praying for me ever since she first found out I was pregnant. Love that girl, she is golden. Their family has decided to Fast for us this Sunday. She too feels at Peace.

Becki and Ryan for being who they are and always being there for me when I need them. Just thinking of them makes me smile.

My blog/journal is a huge tender mercy. As weird as that sounds it's nice to have a place to share my feelings and is a great way to keep everybody in the loop.

I go in Tuesday for for a consultation with the specialist and we will then set up an appointment for all the tests needed. There is still a good chance things will be ok, but a very real chance that we will have some sort of birth defect. It will be a long wait, but overall I still feel very much at peace.

Spring Break

We had decided that since I will not be able to travel this summer with the baby coming, that we would take our family vacation during spring break. Well....it turned out that Ry had two different court suboena's and was not going to be able to make it. The kids and I decided to go ahead without him.

We headed to St. George to spend some time with my sisters the cousins. It is always SO.MUCH.FUN to get to be together.

Little Miss B saw Aunt Christy's pom poms from high school in the garage ane became obsessed. When we were shopping the next day she found some little pom poms and we bought them. They she begged Christy to teach her how to cheer. Christy was adorable with her and Miss B had a blast.

We had fun crafting. I didn't take any scrapbook supplies, but when Thursday rolled around I didn't want to miss out on Thursday Scrapbook day on the craft blog so we went to the local scrapbook store and I bought some supplies. I had pictures already uploaded to costco.com so I just got some developed. I made that little ballerina page. Then we made ribbon and pearl necklace's/braceletes. We Christy, Lauralee and I went to see a chick flick. I had heard that the Vow was soooo cute and the perfect girl movie. Ehhhh....Not so much. It was full of smut and could have been done so much better. It was a true story and I couldn't help but wonder if the people it was made after were disappointed with it. I know I sure was.

We brought our bikes. The cousins just bought a new moped and J-man had a blast playing on it. Little Miss B found a scooter for $5.00 at the DI so we bought it and she loves that thing.

We had a fun potluck dinner in the park with all the st.george family. I was so cute to watch Miss B and her cousin have so much fun together.

One day we went hiking. I was so impressed with Miss B. She had no fear and kept up with everyone. There was one part that scared me so bad. You had to hold on to a rope to get to the other side of a rock that was above some water. I was nervous and was going to stay back with Miss B, but she wanted to go and Uncle Kendall helped her. She LOVED it!

Even though we were not home the leprachan was able to find us. He left a greeen coin trail leading to a pot of treats for everyone to share. We ate well the whole week. St.Patricks day we had lots of fun green food. Green pancakes and made individual green pizza's for dinner.

It was a wonderful week and we had so much fun. I am sad that Ry could not join us, but so glad I was able to go anyway. Ry was so sweet. The morning I was leaving he he hands me an envelope that said Debbie's spending money and it was full of an entires weeks worth of off duty pay that he had been saving for me to take to use for whatever I want, and that I did. He is so good to me and I love him to pieces. Thanks for the fun Clements. We LOVE YOU!!!!
