Twin birthdays.

No we're not the same age and no we don't have the exact same birthday, but we always call our birthdays the twin birthdays. We are the same age for one day and then Ryan offically becomes OLD for the next year. :)

I just LOVE Ryan to pieces. He is the absolute perfect mate for me. He makes me happy and calms me down and just always knows what to say. He is such a hard worker and stays so positive when things get tuff. I love that I still get butterflies as I get ready to go out on our weekly dates and I love that we still flirt with each other and no matter how I look Ry makes me feel like the most beautiful woman he has ever seen.

We spent the morning opening presents, playing games and just enjoying our daddy as much as we could before he had to go to work. I made him his favorite batch of oreo truffels, packed his lunch and sent him to work. He loves his job, so this was not a bummer for him, but was for me and the kids. :) We love him so much and are so glad that he is our daddy! Happy Birthday Ryan, WE LOVE YOU!!!!

Black friday Birthday.

Black friday was my birthday. So Thursday night about 10:00 I went to my friend Janell's house and we looked thru the Black Friday ads. Then we headed on over to Walmart. We got some stuff and stayed in line for the 5am sale stuff too. She was buying her oldest kids laptops. We went with her teenage kids, and it was a lot of fun. After Walmart we headed to Target for some things. Then we dropped the kids off at home and Janell took me out to breakfast for my Birthday. It was yummy and so much fun!

Ryan took the kids and I slept for a few hours. When they got home I opened presents and had some cake.

Becca helped Ryan bake the cake and helped me blow out the candels. What a good helper she is. :)

I was so excited about the new pazookie skillet pans my sister Christy gave me that I put them right to use and we had a pizza party that night. YUM!!!! I can't wait to do some cookies in them. It was a fun birthday and I am glad I got to spend it with the ones I love the most!

Thanksgiving 2010

We usually go to Utah for Thanksgiving, but this year it wasn't in the budget. We just had an IUI treatment in hopes to get pregnant the beginning of November (it didn't work, btw) and that took any extra funds we had. Anyway that's a whole other post. Despite being disappointed about missing our annual trip home and not being pregnant we decided to make the best of it.

I was going to try and get a group of other people without family to celebrate together with but late Sunday night I did not feel well. I was up all night and was really hurting by Monday. Finally I got into the doctor and found out I had strep. The next day Jaden woke up with it too. Becca was sick too but thankfully it was not strep. So Jaden and I were down and in bed for 3 days. Sweet Ryan took off work and stayed home and took care of us all.

By the time Thursday rolled around we had been on antibiotics and felt so much better. Ryan's buddy dug a huge fire pit and we along with 6 other families slow roasted our turkeys in his pit. They were the juiciest most tender turkeys I have ever ate.

I decided it would be fun to have everyone in charge of one specific thing. So Ry did the bird, and it was divine! Jaden brought home a cute paper from school and the thing he is most looking forward to at thanksgiving is ______________. He put Smashed potatos. :) so naturally I had him in charge of those. They were very tasty.

Kyle was in charge of the rolls. It is so fun that he can cook all by himself and he loves to follow a recipe. We did our favorite Mock Magleby rolls and they were fabulous.

Since green bean casserole is just a dump and stir kind of recipe I knew Becca would be do great with that. You could tell she just loved every second of it. And really did it all by herself. Even down to putting the tin foil on and putting it in the fridge til it was time to bake.

This year instead of just going around saying what were are thankful for we asked them why. At first I think they thought that we were being silly but as we kept saying why is that important to you I think they were able to appreciate things a little more. It was really neat. Definately a traditon I want to keep.

Later that day we went to the Movies and watched Mega Mind. It was really cute and the kids loved it. Then we came home and had some pie and just enjoyed being silly and playing games and such with each other. I asked the kids if they wanted to go to Utah next year or stay home and I was a little surprized when they all said stay home. We really do have a lot of fun with each other and I appreciate the sweet little memories we are building in our own little family. I truly am blessed beyond measure!

Better safe than sorry!

So some weirdo creep got on my blog and left some comments. One said "thank you for this blog full of so much information. Stopping by here I was able to find out everything I wanted to know" it was signed annonymous. How lame. I have never wanted to have a private blog, but after that I decided it was what was best. I am however excited that I can write my kids full names now and post more pictures like the one above of my handsome husband in uniform. I also like that I know who is actually reading. So to you, I thank YOU for sticking with me and taking a peek into the happenings of me and my sweet family.

Becca now believes that she should be allowed to do her own hair.

This is very hard for me to let her do. So on days like this day I give in and let her have at it.

Becca and Cambree are the best of friends. This day I walked in Beccas room and asked what they were doing. Cambree said "we're just having some fun" :) So glad they have so much fun together.

Parties, parties and more parties!!!

I just love halloween. It's fun for all ages and the decorations are just soooo cute. Well this year we spent a lot of time going to different parties. The first one was at our friends house. {B} went as a cute little cowgirl. They had this horse set up in the back yard and she seriously thought it was set up just for her. The funny thing is...all the other kids seemed fine with it. She would tell them when and how long they could ride. I got a little nervous and stayed close by to referee, but there were no problems. She would say things like you're next and you get 4 minutes okay?! haha. I just love all of her cute little friends. We are lucky to live in a ward with so many her age.

The next party we got to go to was at {B}'s preschool. I didn't quite get her tutu skirt finished I wanted it fuller, but she wanted to wear it anyway. Oh well. For this party she went as a witch. I just LOVE her preschool and the kids had a blast. They had a huge bounce house and the kids were in heaven. Her teacher always has them do the cutest little crafts. And they each got to take turns playing adorable little games.

Next we had our annual Halloween party. This years theme was Mummy and Me lunch. {B} hand delivered in costume mummy invites which were are tube of candy wrapped like a mummy with all the details on a tag tied with a ribbon. We had mummy hotdogs for the kids along with spider cheese, grapes, mummy strawberries and veggies. For the Mom we served Cheesy Potato Broccoli soup or chilli in these adorable pumpkin bread bowls. There were crafts at each place setting for the kids to make with their mom, a candy necklace and sucker ghost. Next we decorated halloween cookies and they loved adding their own sprinkles. Each child got to take home a goody bag and a halloween flashlight. It was a lot of fun. I only wish I had a bigger home because there were soooo many other little friends we wanted to invite but we just didn't have the room for a sit down kind of party. I had originally planned on doing two parties, but we just didn't have the time. Hopefully I can invite more to the next little shin dig.

Finally it was Halloween and we went to our wards Trunk or treat. First we went over with our good Friends the Jones and then we all headed over to trunk or treat. K-was an army guy, J- was Capt. Rex from Star Wars the Clone Wars and B- was tinkerbell. We had a lot of fun going car to car and playing all of the carnival games. Most of the pictures of of {B} because she is the only one who stayed with me. Once we ate our chilli the boys were off and playing with friends, but I did manage to get a few pictures first. The only thing that would have made it better was if our Daddy could have been with us but thank goodness for awesome friends who take pitty on me and let me come chill with them ALL THE TIME. :)

We had so much fun and I'm already excited for next year.

Teach by example

I love to watch Ry shoot hoops with the kids. They have a great time together and it's so fun to watch them play.

The other day when they were playing I went in to start dinner. I couldn't hear the basket ball anymore.

and it melted my heart when I walked outside and found them over in our neighbors yard

working together helping her trim and clean up her tree.

All 3 of my kids helped and later we talked about how good it feels to help other especially when they do not ask for help.

I love what a great hands on Dad Ry is. He teaches not only by words but by his example!
