My Dad

so...although everything in my last post about my dad is absolutely without a doubt true...I thought I'd share the funny story that brought on that post.  I adore my dads sense of humor.  He is the nicest guy and comes up with the funniest things.  So the post before my "dad" post I was feeling extra grateful for the people who had helped me out that day.  I had had a great chat with my mom and put "I have the best Mom in the universe".  (which I so do)  Well, my cute dad in fun, commented back to me.  "so if mom is the best mom in the universe what does that leave me, chopped liver?" bwahahahaha.  I didn't want any of you to think I had a favorite parent or anything like that, so I decided to clarify.  hahaha.  They are both amazing and together have been the best parents a girl could ask for!

Only you can make icecream this "cool" We all scream for Icecream.

There is no doubt you love the Lord and serve him with all of your heart and soul.

He knows me

I have so many thoughts going through my mind.  Its nice to have a spot to come and dump it all out. Not for the drama, but for the growth that comes with sharing and getting things out.  Even if no one were to ever reads this, it is therapeutic to get out.  I think that is why I feel the need to catch up on my scrapbook so bad.  No matter what my happen to me, I want my kids to always remember how much I love being their mom and what a joy they are to me.
I hate being misunderstood.  I miss being able to confide in someone and having them understand and empathize with me, completely.  Even if they may not agree with me.
I had a very ruff day on Friday.  My Awesome nephew Jefferson who is serving a mission mentioned how he has learned to not just pray TO God but to pray WITH God. I've been really trying to change that and have better conversations with him. After pouring my heart in prayer, Heavenly Father was busy sending mercies my way.  Minutes later I received a knock at my door and some beautiful flowers from an unknown giver.  {I'm positive it was my visiting teachers} Then minutest after that one of my kindred spirit friends, happened to just drop in to say hello.  We had the sweetest conversation, and she was able to comfort me with something as simple as a true friendship.  The advice and wisdom she shared with me was just what I needed to hear. I look up to and admire her so much.  She has no clue I'm sure just what her visit did for me. I also had a fun conversation with my sister on the phone.  They always lift me up.
One thing I know for sure is that my Heavenly Father is very much aware of me.  He truly knows the intent on my actions.  That I don't mean to offend.  Especially those whom I adore.  He knows what I can handle even if I am not yet convinced.  I am trying to really strengthen my relationship with him, and learn to trust in His plan, no matter what.
Of all the feeling and struggles I have been going through, she has been my little ray of sunshine.  She (along with my other kids) is a constant reminder of all that is good in my life.
I adore this little girl!!!

I love my family.  Adore my husband.  Am grateful for a beautiful home, Have the best Mom on the planet and feel loved by my Heavenly Father.
My life is full.  Not perfect and its a little scary the things that are out of my control, but it is very very good.  I am blessed!

Running buddy

Ky and I have been going running every night and I just love training with him.  I have always loved working out with a buddy but have never been able to find anyone reliable.  Who knew I had one right here in my own home.  He is so great.  He LOVES running and asks every.single. day when we are going.
He is very fast and has cut time off his run each time.  He's now at just over an 8 minute mile.  When he gets done with his mile he meets up with me and helps me finish my jog. I have really loved our workout time together and we have had some of the best, most random talks.  its been good for us, we've been clashing a bit lately.  What a great kid he is.
Saturday we ran in the Prayer Child Run.  We ran in honor of Jakelle Westergard who passed away last hear.  Her family was in our old Stake and they spoke before the race began.  It was very touching.
Ky took 2nd place and I couldn't be more proud.  I got of course and was frustrated, but I still ran the whole thing (and then some) and was just so glad to be done.  It was a great day and something I am glad we did together.

Disney Date

For date night this week we took our lil princess to Disney On Ice.
We did not tell her where we were going.
I had her to pick her favorite princess dress-up dress.
Next I did her hair and let her wear lip gloss.
She loved every second of it.
It was a really fun magical night.
So lucky to get to go with these two!!!

April Fools Day Fun

I always love to do something fun for the kids on April Fools.
It started out with "trapping" the kids in their room by hanging bakers twine in the door.
{J}'s face cracks me up
I didn't catch a pic of the other kids, but they all thought it was funny.
Once the kids got home I asked them to take the box in the living room out to the garage.
I put the sides of the box up and you totally couldn't even see the little cutie hiding inside.
We were able to surprise all three of the older kids.  :)
Next I added eyes to the after school snack drawer and milk.
They all thought it was hilarious
I thought the smile that {J} bit into his apple was hilarious.
It was a fun simple day.
I sure love my little crew!!!

Melts my heart

The older three kids are just so sweet with the baby.
I love that if I am busy and she is fussing the boys will pick her up and help with out being asked too.
This day I was finishing up dinner and she was crying.
Five minutes later I went to take her and this is what I found.
She loves her big brothers and they adore her.
I often look at the boys and think, their future wives sure are lucky...
they are going to be amazing Fathers some day.
