My parents sent the most Beautiful flowers for Easter. They came as buds and it's been fun watching all the different colors. They sit on my counter and make me smile each time I look at them. THANKS mom and dad!

Happy Easter
What a nice day today was. The kids found their baskets and had a small little egg hunt before heading to our 8:30 church meetings. After church we just spent time together playing games and watching a really neat DVD we made of pictures of Christ put to music. It was so peacefull and really added to the spirit of the day. I've been working with Becca on saying Jesus, and tonight after family scriptures and prayer I handed Becca her picture of Jesus and she did it...She pointed to him and said Jesus (Jee Jaa) We were all very excited. I grabbed my camera and we got her to say it about 5 other times so I could get the picture just right. If you look at her lips close enough you can tell she's saying the word. What a perfect way to end such a great day. Happy Easter!!!

The power of the darkside

The other day I was sitting at my table scrapbooking when Jaden came in from playing outside with his Starwars light Saber and Darth Vadar mask on and said in the most serious deep voice while pointing at me, "Mom, YOU don't know the power of the dark side". This doesn't even do it justice to how cute it was. I was cracking up and luckily had my camera right there and asked him to do it again.

Not what I had planned
So Spring Break is finally here. There is so much we wanted to do with the kids. We started out by going to Horton Hears a Who on Saturday morning. It was very cute. We all liked it, even little Becca was glued.
After the movie we went on a family bike ride. When we got home my back was killing me so I had the boys walk on it. Oops...it did something to my back because I could not get up afterwards, and have been down flat on my back for the last 3 days. BoRiNg!!!
I'm so glad I am married to such a sweetheart though. There is no way I can hold Becca so Ryan hasn't gone in to work so that I could recover, and for those of you who know him, you know that's a huge deal because he LOVES his job. I appreciate his help so much.
I usually make green pancakes on St. Patricks Day, but there was no way that was not going to happen this year. However the Leprechaun did happen to make a visit. his trail started at the boys room and down the hall
in the kitchen

One tradtion we did pull off was one of our favorite little treats called "Grandma Greenies". It's a yummy icecube treat that you add to a glass of 7 up. It flavors the 7 up and is soooo good. You have to try it. Here's the recipe.

Daddy's girl
There is this new country song By Rodney Atkins called "Cleaning This Gun".
We love it and have decided it is Ryan and Becca's song. I can totally picture Ryan doing this about 15 years. She has him wrapped around her little finger. I love watching the little bond the two of them share.
Here is a copy of the chorus:
Come on in boy, sit on down And tell me 'bout yourself.
So you like my daughter, do you now
Yeah we think she's something else
She's her daddy's girl and her mama's world
She deserves respect, that's what she'll get, ain't it son
Now y'all run along and have some fun
I'll see you when you get back
Bet I'll be up all night
Still cleaning this gun
It's all for show, ain't nobody gonna get hurt
It's just a daddy thing, hey believe me man, it works

My New Calling
I was asked to go to church early to meet with my Bishop on Sunday. I am now the new Ward Activity Leader. I am excited since I LOVE having get togethers. If any of you have any fun ideas of something your ward has done or anything let me know. I'm really excited and hope the ward is happy with whatever we end up doing.

Oh Happy Day!
Kyle told us he wanted to go to snow for his birthday back in December. We were planning of leaving for Utah the day after Christmas and staying thru New Years. Well Ryan had some court supina's that he could not get out of and so we didn't get to go. We were all very disappointed. So we decided to pack up and find some snow before it all melts. Here are a few pictures of the family sledding up past Strawberry with the Cowley's. Good times!
Kyle getting ready for his first ride down the hill.
Here goes Jaden
Look at that strong handsome man bringing the babies down the hill. So cute.
Jaden would giggle and laugh the whole way down. It really surprised me how much he LOVED it and how he wasn't afraid because I was a couple times just watching him fly on some of those bumps.
Mom and Becca checking out all this white stuff.
Becca had her Isaac so she was happy as can be.
Kyle loving the snow. Glad he finally got his wish.
tracking it back up the hill for some more fun.
Best little buddies. Jaden, Justin and Kyle. The pink gloves were way to big for Becca but worked great for Justin, and he didn't seem to mind the color.
