I heard:
Lots of giggles
Big Time Rush over and over and over in the car. hahaha. I think I know all the lyrics to all the songs now.
I saw:
The sweetest group of boys play CHURCH ball and get a long. They were so fun to watch and just had fun together. The older boys were great with the younger boys and they all had a blast.
Some super cute Easter projects on pintrest that I am dying to try.
I saw Jman get trampled while playing and the boy that hit him was sooooo sweet with him and helped him til he stopped crying. So sweet.
Kguy grow spiritually. He had the sweetest experience and I am glad I got to hear and see how it affected him. He is such a good kid with the biggest heart.
I tasted:
yummy crab dip on ritz crackers. YUM...I never knew what I was missing out on
The most amazing twice baked potatoes. The skins where crispy like a potato chip and were to die for.
I felt:
annoyed/frusterate
excited for Spring Break and a full week of fun and a break from reality
Extremely GRATEFUL for such a hard working husband who LOVES his job and provids so well for all of our needs and never complains even when he misses out on certain things.
I struggled:
With news that the offer on our home fell thru and we are back to square one.
With telling the owners of the home we wanted that we had to back out.
I accomplished:
a lot in the garage, (Again) you would think by now it would be done, huh....but no. It is quickly filling up with packed up boxes though which is nice
I am looking forward to:
Time with family

Mommy School
Today Little Miss B and I did "Mommy School" We started out side where I had written all of the letters in the alphabet.
I gave her chalk and would have her circle the letter I said, or I was do a sound and she would find the letter that makes that sound.
I also had her come up with words that began with each letter.
She LOVED it and did a good job. It was a good way for me to evaluate what we needed to work on.

I saw a cute butterfly craft on pintrest. (Have you looked into pintrest yet? If you haven't yet you really should. It is awesome and I absolutely love that site).

Weekly Update
I heard:
--Jon Schmidt on pandora before church this morning. What great talent that man has. Love his work.
--The sweetest Testimony from J-man today. My favorite part "I know the Holy Ghost really helps us when we are in trouble"
I saw:
--The Lorax movie.
--many many interesting floor plans and designs in all kinds of homes.
I tasted:
--decadent cupcakes from a friend.
--thai food, not too bad and the egg rolls were amazing.
I felt:
--excited while house hunting.
--sad/hurt/shocked/bewildered/ and then just LAUGHED when someone made a down right rude comment to me about my new look.
--happy to get a call from my super sweet sister and text from my other super sweet sister both excited about our new baby
I struggled:
--with not knowing if we are having a girl or a boy. Ok, just kidding...it's not something I struggled with, but I sure am excited to find out so I can start collecting new items beings how I got rid of EVERYTHING!
--with eating. Weird huh, I NEVER have that problem haha. But nothing sounds good. Even all of my favorites just don't hit the spot anymore. I kind of wouldn't mind if that problem sticks around after the baby when I am trying to loose weight. How easy would it be then. haha
I accomplished:
--some quiet projects from the Friend Magazine for little Miss B to use at church
--Flannel board stories for FHE (again from the friend)
--Cute decorating jars to change out for each holiday.
I am looking forward to:
--Spring Break and getting a way for a week.

No girls allowed!

We decided it would be fun to let the boys invite some friends over and go have a "guys" day together. Ry took them since no girls were allowed. :) They played Lazer tag, video games and miniature golf. Everybody but one of J-mans friend won an angry bird at the "claw" game. The friend was sad so J-man gave him his. Then K-guy felt bad for him and gave his to J-man. He said "you like angry birds more than me so you can have mine" I thought it was so sweet of all of them. They are all a great group of kids.

Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss
As I've said before once a month we take one of the kids with us on our date. Tonight it was litte Miss B's turn. I just love that we do this. It is so fun to have some one on one as a couple with each child. I thought with it being Dr. Seuss' birthday it was fitting to go see his new movie.

It's cute to hear littl Miss B "read" she knows the stories so well and retells them in the cutest little way. It was adorable.

Yummy Soup

So I have one of those friends who is amazing. She always knows when to call or stop by, she is the first to lend a hand and I can just talk to her for hours and hours on end. She really is a gem. Well....She hurt her knee and when I found out I had to all but beg her to let me bring her dinner. She finally agreed and I am taking it tomorrow.
Well...I knew I wanted to do more so I decided to put together a yummy surprize lunch for her.
I packed a little sack lunch for her son and sent a big jar of my favorite homemade soup. I stopped by the bakery and bought some fresh bread bowls. Mmm, Mmm....The soup makes a ton so there was plenty for my family too.
My cute sister in law gave me the recipe years ago and I LOVE it. Its my go to recipe anytime I am in need for a girly lunch. We served it at a Mother/Daughter event a couple years ago and it was gobbled up. Anyway, I thought I would share it on the blog in case any of my readers want to give it a try.
Cheesy Broccoli Potato Soup
3 Large potatoes
10 oz fresh/frozen broccoli
6T. butter or margarine
6T. flour
1 1/2 cup chicken stock (1 1/2 water + 2 bouillon cubes)
1/8 tsp. pepper or to your liking
1tsp. salt
2-4 cup milk
2/3 lbs. Velveeta cubed.
Peel potatoes, dice and steam for 15-20 minutes. Cut up broccoli and steam until tender. While potatoes and broccoli are steaming, prepare white sauce as follows. In stockpot, melt butter. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add chicken stock. Add milk to desired consistency. Cook over medium heat until it thickens and boils. When soupy white sauce, add Velveeta. After cheese has melted, add drained potatoes and broccoli.
