Hair stylist in the making

Becca now believes that she should be allowed to do her own hair.

This is very hard for me to let her do. So on days like this day I give in and let her have at it.

She does look pretty darn cute if I do say so my self.

Here she is working her magic on her cute little friend.

pretty pretty!

Becca and Cambree are the best of friends. This day I walked in Beccas room and asked what they were doing. Cambree said "we're just having some fun" :) So glad they have so much fun together.

Parties, parties and more parties!!!

I just love halloween. It's fun for all ages and the decorations are just soooo cute. Well this year we spent a lot of time going to different parties. The first one was at our friends house. {B} went as a cute little cowgirl. They had this horse set up in the back yard and she seriously thought it was set up just for her. The funny thing is...all the other kids seemed fine with it. She would tell them when and how long they could ride. I got a little nervous and stayed close by to referee, but there were no problems. She would say things like you're next and you get 4 minutes okay?! haha. I just love all of her cute little friends. We are lucky to live in a ward with so many her age.

The next party we got to go to was at {B}'s preschool. I didn't quite get her tutu skirt finished I wanted it fuller, but she wanted to wear it anyway. Oh well. For this party she went as a witch. I just LOVE her preschool and the kids had a blast. They had a huge bounce house and the kids were in heaven. Her teacher always has them do the cutest little crafts. And they each got to take turns playing adorable little games.
Next we had our annual Halloween party. This years theme was Mummy and Me lunch. {B} hand delivered in costume mummy invites which were are tube of candy wrapped like a mummy with all the details on a tag tied with a ribbon. We had mummy hotdogs for the kids along with spider cheese, grapes, mummy strawberries and veggies. For the Mom we served Cheesy Potato Broccoli soup or chilli in these adorable pumpkin bread bowls. There were crafts at each place setting for the kids to make with their mom, a candy necklace and sucker ghost. Next we decorated halloween cookies and they loved adding their own sprinkles. Each child got to take home a goody bag and a halloween flashlight. It was a lot of fun. I only wish I had a bigger home because there were soooo many other little friends we wanted to invite but we just didn't have the room for a sit down kind of party. I had originally planned on doing two parties, but we just didn't have the time. Hopefully I can invite more to the next little shin dig.
Finally it was Halloween and we went to our wards Trunk or treat. First we went over with our good Friends the Jones and then we all headed over to trunk or treat. K-was an army guy, J- was Capt. Rex from Star Wars the Clone Wars and B- was tinkerbell. We had a lot of fun going car to car and playing all of the carnival games. Most of the pictures of of {B} because she is the only one who stayed with me. Once we ate our chilli the boys were off and playing with friends, but I did manage to get a few pictures first. The only thing that would have made it better was if our Daddy could have been with us but thank goodness for awesome friends who take pitty on me and let me come chill with them ALL THE TIME. :)
We had so much fun and I'm already excited for next year.

Teach by example

I love to watch Ry shoot hoops with the kids. They have a great time together and it's so fun to watch them play.
{B} even gets in on the fun.
The other day when they were playing I went in to start dinner. I couldn't hear the basket ball anymore.
and it melted my heart when I walked outside and found them over in our neighbors yard

working together helping her trim and clean up her tree.
All 3 of my kids helped and later we talked about how good it feels to help other especially when they do not ask for help.

There is a quote that sums up Ry to a T. Teach the gospel, use words if you have too.
I love what a great hands on Dad Ry is. He teaches not only by words but by his example!

General Conference

We LOVED listening to all of the sessions of Conference. Each talk was so good and was such a breath of fresh air. They motivated me to try harder to be better. The messages at conference are so encouraging and uplifting. I really loved the Prophets talk at Womens Conference about Judging and Pres. Uchtdorf's was just what I needed to hear. If we are strong and can steady and slow the course and do all those small things that keep us close to Heavenly Father, we WILL be blessed.
The kids were very good and I was able to get so much out of Conference. At one point Sat. morning Becca was really quiet. We looked over and this is what she was doing. Quiet as can be just hanging up side down. What a nut!!!

MVP

I have enjoyed watching {K} play basket ball this season. He and his team have really gotten a grasp on what they are doing and they have gone from cute little games to exciting fast paced games.
It hit me at this game how grown up my little guy is getting. He's definitely one of the big kids now and it's fun to see him so passionate about something. He has a great coach. At first he seemed a bit to tuff for my liking, but after watching him work with the boys, he really is good and definitely knows what he's talking about.
I kept trying to get a picture of K shooting the ball. This is the best I got. He just shot it (on the far left)......
....And it's good!!!
This was such a fun exciting game. {K} was without a doubt the MVP of this game and I'm not just saying that cuz I happen to be his mother. He did AWESOME!!!! So proud of him. I'm looking forward to a great season of a little more competitive ball.
GO SCORPIONS!!!!!

Date Night

I love the Dating Divas blog. They have such fun ideas for keeping the romance alive in your marriage. When I read the post about the Bookstore date I knew it would be just the thing us. Ry LOVES to read and I love the mall so off to Borders we went. It was kind of last minute so I didn't get to make the clues all cutesy and scrapbooked like I wanted but we had so much fun I think I may still do it.

I forgot the camera so these are taken with my cell phone and this was one of the last books we did but I got at least one pic.

We had to find our favorite childrens book and read it to each other. Ry picked this story out of the Dr. Suess book because his Grandma Fonnesbeck use to read it to him all the time and it was special to him. We ended up having a nice little talk about how much we miss and love her.
We also looked up a dessert recipe to make together, found a book about a place we want to visit, looked at blue print books for our dream home, etc....it was so much fun. I love any time I get to spend with just my sweetie and love that it didn't cost a dime.
I hope to use many more of the cute ideas on the Dating Diva's blog . Go check it out if you haven't already, it's super cute!

Princess night out

A couple days weeks ago I heard that Chick-fil-a in the mall was having a Princess night. Every little girl who came dressed in their ball attire got a free kids meal. They went all out, and it was so cute. {B} loved talking to Belle, Cinderella and her Fairy God Mother.
The boys tagged along and were able to get their face painted, twisty balloons and ride the huge carousel.

I loved the corsage balloon that the girls got. It totally cracked me up...when we were leaving {B} put her rose that Cinderella gave her in her mouth and said this is what you do and stared spinning around. It was so cute.
