Day 280 9/27/09

When we were in Utah we went to Magelbys for my brothers wedding dinner. They had the BEST rolls and I have been craving them ever since. I was so excited when I was able to find a recipe for them online. They are absolutely delicious. You just use your favorite roll recipe and then melt butter roll your dough balls in the butter and then roll it in the topping that's it. Mmm...mmm...

here's the topping if your interested.

1 cup Parmesan cheese

1-2 tsp. dried parsley

1 tsp. garlic salt

Melt butter in a small bowl. Mix Parmesan, parsley and garlic salt in another bowl. Roll dough in butter, then in cheese mixture. Place on greased cookie sheet and allow to raise. Bake at 350 for about 15-20 minutes or until lightly golden brown.

Day 281 9/28/09

The weather has finally cooled down a little and we have enjoyed many walks to the park. This morning we took along {B}'s baby.

Day 282, 9/29/09

I have made a personal goal to make the time for scrapbooking and doing what I want without feeling guilty about it. I usually scrapbook once the kids are in bed, but today I had to make some cards and {B} wanted to create too. She had a great time using her new princess stickers and crayons. Days 278-279

Day 278 9/25/09

The boys had their first piano recital at the Mall.

They were really nervous but did a great job.

Here they are with their cute teacher.

They both got a blue ribbon and were very excited about it.

After the recital we all went out for lunch to celebrate their hard work.

Day 279, 9/26/09

One of {R}'s best friends got married on Sat. Here they are right after the ceremony.

Their first walk as Man and Wife!

We love hanging out with them and are so happy for them. The wedding was Beautiful.

here are "the boys" at the wedding reception. I just love being with {R} and his cop buddies, we always have so much fun when we get together and I love the cool brotherly bond they all share.

I had fun with {R} and feel especially grateful for our Eternal Marriage.

Day 274-277

{J} added another swing to our swing set. He's definately a think outside the box kind of kid.

Day 275, 9/22/09

{R} took {K} out for their monthly outing. They went to the gas station got a drink and then went and had a nice talk. I love that {R} is such a good hands on dad and that the kids have such a strong open bond with him.

Day 276, 9/23/09

We have had so many family and friends have babies lately. I have been having a great time making baby gifts and cards. Here is one I did this week for my friend.

I bought these wood circles and pegs at Micheals {R} drilled holes in them and I painted and covered them with paper.

I made a card to match.

Day 277, 9/24/09

I bought this cute jar for $.25 a long time ago at DI. I tied ribbon on the handle and then printed up a whole bunch of random conversation starters. I put it on our table and each night at dinner we rotate drawing one of the questions and then everyone takes turns listening and answering. It's been really fun. Tonight our question was "If you could make up your own super hero what would your name be and what powers would you have" They were hilarious.

I straightened {B}'s hair today. She loved it.

Day 271 9/18/09
{R} took {J} on a motorcycle ride. They were gone for a really long time. I was beginning to get worried. Come to find out one of our friends was out side doing yard work and {R} stopped to talk with him. Glad that's all it was.

Day 272, 9/19/09
{K} was so excited to finally get use his telescope again that he got from Grandma Mitchell. We always forget to get it our from under his bed, but tonight was such a clear beautiful night and everybody had fun looking at the moon and stars

Day 273, 9/20/09
{K} was asked a couple of weeks ago to be in the Stake Primary Chior. He practiced really hard learned all of the songs. Unfortunately I was too sick to go to Conference so I missed his performance, but I'm told he did a great job and that they sounded WONDERFUL!!!

Day's 263-269

Day 263, 9/10/09

We had a lot of fun at scouts today. The boys especially loved the game where they had to put their face into some powdered sugar to find the prize using only their teeth.

Day 264, 9/11/09

This is the before and after school charts we are using this year. Each child has a magnet with their initials on it. They start at the top and go down the list. When they are at the bottom they have earned some free time. The cards are two sided morning routine on one side and after school routine on the other. They seem to really like it so far this year.

Day 265, 9/12/09

One of {K}s new jobs is to mow the lawn. My babies getting soooo big, sniff, sniff!

Day 266 9/13/09

We have a basket of mismatched socks. {J} asked if he could have one and do anything he wanted with it. I said sure and this is the cute little puppet he made out of it. Such a cute creative kid!

Day 267, 9/14/09

I've had fun doing preschool with {B}. Sometimes we invite a friend or two to join but not always. Today {R} was home and she had a great time learning with him. He would say a letter and she pointed to it with her stick.

Day 268, 9/15/09

I had a great time getting a way for a couple of hours and laughing with my friends at Enrichment night. Our table was so much fun. What a great group of ladies!

Day 269, 9/16/09

{B} and I are sick. We went to the doctor and it's viral and we just have to wait it out. She sure was cute despite not feeling well at all.

Day 259-262

We have been reading the scriptures together as a family each morning. We are already in 2 Nephi and I just love to hear the kids sound out all the big words and comprehend what they are reading.

Day 260, 9/7/09
{J} was playing X-men and I just had to get a picture. He is wolverine. He has such a great imagination and is always in character.

I wouldn't mess with him! :)

Day 261, 9/8/09

{B} asked all morning to paint. After lunch I let her. She painted for quite a while. Then all of the sudden I heard some snoring and looked over and...

she was out cold! Who knew water colors was so exhausting. When I told that to {R} he pointed out that waking up 2 times in the night screaming because of a dinosaur night mare could do it too. :)

Day 262, 9/9/09

What a cool date for a birthday huh! Mandy and Dave had their adorable little boy Jaxon Owen. He looks cute as can be and I can't wait to get to see him in person. This is {R} and I's 12th nephew. We are so happy he is here and Mommy is doing well. Happy Birthday Baby Jaxon!

Day 256, 9/3/09

Corey Jenkins is a soldier from our ward who was killed in Afgahnistan. I just love his family and my heart breaks for them. Our Bishops son thought it would be nice if he and the other scouts in our ward put flags up at every house on his street until Corey was buried. It has been such a touching tribute to see and has made me stop and appreciate the sacrafice he and others have made so we can enjoy the things we enjoy!

Day 257, 9/4/09
{R} brought home this beautiful rose last night. He is so good to me and I just adore him.

Day 258, 9/5/09

I got to babysit my cute friends adorable little boy today. He is seriously the sweetest little boy ever. {B] was a little bossy in the beginning (not so sure about the whole sharing thing) but after a few minutes he was her best friend and they played so cute together.

They put on a nice little concert.

it was so fun to see Alyssa and get to visit for a little bit. She is still as cute as ever. After she left {R} and I got to reminissing about the good ol'days. We all sure had fun together back in the black hills. Today I'm feeling especially grateful for ALL the good friends whom I've had through out my life, and for Eternal Friendships!
