Day 78, 3-19-09 Triple Date

We enjoyed a great night out on the town with two of {R]'s buddies from work and their wives, well one is a soon to be wife. :)

The food was alright but the conversation and entertainment was AWESOME. It was so fun to hang out with adults and act like children.

I didn't do to great on this game I kept confusing the controler and would almost always hit the wrong button.

We did an air hockey compitition between all three couples.

{A} and I ended up being the champs. ha ha. He acutally beat me at this game but I put up a good fight.

The guys shooting hoops.

{R} and I shooting hoops. I didn't do so good. {R} won again.
We had so much fun. I love spending time with such fun friends and my man.

Day 77, 3-18-09 Spring Break Camping Staycation

{R} has worked a ton of off duty this week so we realized early on that our tenative plans of a mini vacation was not going to happen but wanted to be sure we still do something fun for the kids during spring break. {R} only had to work til 2:00 in the afternoon so when he got home we set up the tent in the back yard.
the boys had fun "helping" {R} with the fire.
{B} thought it was all very exciting.
For dinner we all built our own tin foil dinners. The kids loved it. I don't remember the last time the had so much fun eating vegetables.
We told stories and had some fun little talks around the campfire. For Dessert we made smores. The were gooey but yummy!
The kids were so cute and excited about everything and {J} kept saying this was the best camping trip ever.
{B} was way more interested in walking, on the air mattresses than sleep, and hey...we were on vacation so we let her.
My guys getting all settled in.
We had such a fun time together as a family and it didn't cost a dime. :)

Day 76, 3-17-09 St. Patricks Day

The leprechaun found his way into our lunch.
The kids thought it was hillarious
and we're so silly about it.
{B} saw hers and got all excited and said "HO HO" apparently the leprechaun and Santa look alike to a two year old.
Next we made rainbow baskets to leave out for the Leprechaun
{B} was acutally really into this activity. It was so exciting to watch her used her fine motor skills.
I punched a whole bunch of holes in her bowl with my scrapbooking crop-a-dile. (I love that tool) and she was so good and putting the pipe cleaners in.
After getting a pipe cleaner in the hole she would put her hands up and cheer. {pure joy, I tell ya}
The finished product.
Later on while running errands the leprechaun found our baskets, filled them with gold and left them on their bed.
The boys were very excited and even a little shocked. I think they had forgotten about them by the time they found them.
I love the age of our kids. They are so fun and sweet about the things I have planned for them. A time I will forever cherish no doubt.

Day 75, 2-16-09 Spring Break Begins

We've had a lot of fun being silly so far this spring break. Our theme for the day was "Silly" We did silly putty, silly string and told and made up silly jokes. Then we played Simon Says Oposites. That was a riot to watch. Same rules as simon says except they do the opposite but still have to remember if Simon said. :) I love spring break and spending good quality time together.

Day 73, 3-14-09 Joy

Today I read Alma 26 and loved it! I love how Ammon lists how he is so grateful for the blessings he has received, the miracles that have occurred, and his gratitude for those experiences. I love that he has so much joy and is truly in a state of Thanksgiving. God's blessings are all around us and we are truly blessed in every way. I can understand Ammon when he says he is not boasting but rejoicing in the power of God.
Some of the things I am grateful for today are as follows:
I am grateful my kids are such great friends.
I am grateful my kids love to go to their primary class and nursery and that they have such wonderful leaders and teachers there.
I am grateful I get to raise such wonderful little buddies and love them to pieces.
I am grateful that {R} is mine for all ETERNITY.
I am grateful for people who serve diligently and willingly. Last week there were several calling changes and I am grateful for those who have been released and the new people who have been called.
I am grateful {R} has a testimony and gives great FHE lessons to the kids. They just eat up his every word.
I am grateful to meet new people.
I am grateful for a loving Heavenly Father.
I am grateful for people that participate in RS lessons. I appreciated the comments and stories that were shared when I taught.
I am grateful for Sunday night check in phone calls from Family. They know how lonely and hard it is for me to have {R} gone on Sunday nights and I appreciate their thoughtfulness.
I am grateful for a hard working husband who provides so well for us and allows me to be a full time mom.
I am grateful for a Bishop who inspires me every time I hear him speak weather it's at the pulpit or in ward council meeting, he is amazing!
I am grateful for promptings from the Holy Ghost.
I am finding the more gratitude I have in my life, the more I have to be a grateful about. Gratitude brings more joy to us and I think this is totally the experience Ammon was having.

Day 72, 3-13-09

Our Bishops daughter got married yesterday so for date night we took {K} along with us and went to her reception. She was {K}'s first piano teacher and he just loves her to pieces. He wanted to wear this tie to the reception because he knew she would like it. She was so darling with him and made him feel so special. After the reception we went to Cracker Barrell for dinner. {K} had never been there but said (even before his food came out) that "this is totally my new favorite resturaunt, well...if I like the food it is" Ha ha. He thought the gift shop was pretty cool and they had crayons and paper to color so he was happy. He even beat me at checkers. {R} and I take turns taking the kids out on a date with us once a month. It's been fun to have some one on one as a couple with each child. We have some really great talks, and a lot of silly ones too. I hope the kids will always be open with us and know they can talk to us about anything. Thanks {R} and {K} for such a wonderful date!
