One of the nice things about 1:30 church is that we always have plenty of time to get ready and be on time. This day we had a little too much time on our hands. All I wanted was a picture with my cute little Becca. She was in a goofy mood. First she gave me bunny ears. So I gave them back. Next I caught her trying to do bunny ears again. And then Finally....we got a good one. We had each other laughing pretty good though and I just love her little carefree love of life attitude. She is such a good example to me.

Happy Mail
Sunday Sep 15th we got word that Grandpa Mitchell would finally be having the loooong awaited, desperately needed kidney transplant the following day. I was so excited I could hardly stand it. The surgery went well and he is doing fantastic. Dad was of course the kindest most gracious patient the hospital staff has ever had. It was exciting to talk to him on the phone. You could just tell he feels a hundred times better. I didn't hear the pain in his voice and it just makes me so happy. Through this entire illness my Dad has never complained. He has been such a great Christ like example to the kids and I. I am so blessed to have such an amazing Dad.
We wanted to give him a fun little get well gift. I found the largest empty pill bottle in my stash and decorated it with scrapbook paper. I wasn't sure what I was going to fill it with though since candy would not be a very wise choice to give a recently transplanted diabetic. I decided to cut big white "happy pills" out of paper. Then I made an accordion strip for the kids to each write a little note on. Next I tied the pills up with bakers twine. I of course forgot to take a picture of the card that went with it, but it matched the paper on the outside. The kids still pray for Grandpa every single prayer and we all are just so grateful for this wonderful miracle!

Old western date night.
Ry's family has a tradition of getting western pictures done for each of the kids when they start kindergarten and then again when they graduate. It has been so fun to look at those pictures. That was one tradition Ry and I knew we wanted to keep.
We went to the cutest little western town and had a blast walking thru and looking at everything.
We even got locked up by the sheriff.
When we were all done princess picked Panda Express for dinner. Yum!!!
As always I love this one on one date nights with our kids. The things we hear from her are hilarious. LOVE her!!!

Moms helper
The other day I was busy trying to get dinner ready so Ky and Ry could go to mutual. Bree was rather fussy. Jay on his own picked her up and got her happy. It wasn't until later that I found him outside giving her a sweet little stroll in our beautiful AZ sun. Love him and the sweet brother he is.
