Day 96-4-6-09 Mommy and Me Brunch

{B} and I got invited to a Mommy and Me Easter egg hunt and brunch.

{B} loved the invitation. It had a cute little chick in an egg on the front and she walked around with it chirping for quite some time

We were both SOOOO excited to get to go spend some much needed time out socializing with others but then...

last I broke out with a fever and feel awful today. I am dizzy when I stand up and just don't feel good at all. Luckily {B} is too little to know that she's missing it, but I'm pretty bummed knowing I could be their right now if I wasn't so darn sick.

We just love the family that invited us, they have to cutest little boys and I've been wanting to get to know them better. {R} serves with the Dad in YM's and he is so funny and a really great guy. Hopefully we'll get to do something when I am back up and running, until then it's back to bed for me!

Day 95, 4-5-09 Just Because

{R} surprised me with these pretty flowers today "just because". It made my day and makes me smile everytime I see them. Thanks hun!

Day 94, 4-4-09 General Conference

{R} taught a great lesson for FHE this week using the scripture found in Mosiah 2:6. He talked about how they pitched their tents with the door facing the temple while they listened to the Prophet. He talked about liking the scriptures unto us and how we can do the same thing this weekend by listening to conference.

Friday night before going to bed {R} set up this tent for the boys

I put together little "quiet" baskets for the boys to use.

It was a big hit.

I also made this poster and it's been hanging up for a couple days. On the back of each pic. is some interesting facts about each one. This was also great after each session we'd ask them who spoke and what they taught us.

Day 93, 4-3-09 Lets go fly a kite

It's been super windy here so we decide it was the perfect change to let {J} try out his new Ben 10 kite he got for his birthday.

{K} is the sweetest big brother. I love watching him with {B}, he's so good with her.

It was such a fun way to spend time together as a family.

Day 92. 4-2-09 Flannel Board Fun

{B} loves animals and can make all of their sounds.

Today I thought it would be fun to get my Flannel Board and flannel animals for her to play with.

She had a great time and was so cute.

I had fun listening to her little stories.

We ended our little play time with a couple of rounds of "head, shoulders, knees and toes"

Day 91, 4-1-09 April fools switch-a-roo

Every night since we put {B} in a big girl bed she has fallen out or been in the weirdest positions.

She had one of those cribs that converts into a bed. We decided that we wanted to put her in a real toddler bed instead so we bought this darling sleigh bed. She LOVES it.

So for April Fools since we have an empty crib, once the kids were asleep {R} moved {J} to the crib, and {K} into {J}'s bed.

They woke up way confussed and were so funny about it.

All day I kept hearing things like:
"Mom! There's a spider on your shoulder"
(while driving) slow down, there's a cop!
(When walking through the door after school) {K} said {J} got in trouble and had to stay after school
"MOM, there's a monster in the dishwasher"
{K} found smeared some ketcup on his arm and came to me fake crying that he was hurt.
"oh NOOO...look what Becca did" (that one got me everytime) :)

I love the silly age of my kids. It was a good day, Happy Aprils Fools Day!

Day 90, 3-31-09 First Pinewood Derby

{R} helped {K} make his car. It was red of course and turned out really cute.

The races were fun to watch. {K} won some and lost some, but all in all had a great time.

Seriously...the cutest cheerleaders I have ever seen!
