Happy Birthday to you!

Today is two of my very favorite peoples Birthday! These girls are so fun and dear to my heart. I wish you both the Happiest Birthday Ever!!!

When I think of Lani one word comes to mind and that is FUN. Everything is so much more fun with Lani around. She has this cute contagious laugh and is just a fun happy person to be with. She has been such a good example to me of reaching out and being friendly to everyone around you. She can strike up a conversation with anyone anywhere and that's just one of the many things I admire about her. She is such a cute mom and has a way of keeping a sence of humor even during those difficult parenting moments. Such a cute cute girl.
I consider Amy basically my twin. We are like two peas in a pod. We have the same standards/goals style and interests. Amy is my go to gal. When I need girly advice, when something is bothering me or I need to vent I go to her and when things are great I can't wait to tell her about it either. There are just some things that are more fun to tell to Amy like my latest scrapbook layout or other silly things like that, that she gets equally excited about. It's just not the same here in Az without her. I really miss her, she's the best!
I'm so grateful for these two special friendships and look forward to
many more fun times ahead.
Happy Birthday Girls!!!

Final Halloween post

Wow~what a fun busy week we had. I am the Ward Activity's Leader and so I was in charge of our ward Halloween party. We combined with another ward and the spanish branch. We decided to have it the Wednesday before Halloween and had 600+ people. We did a pot-luck chili and bread dinner. Then we had carnival booths put on by all the different auxilaries as well as a big bounce house and ended with trunk or treating. I do LOVE throwing parties so this calling is perfect for me although planning for 600 people was a little nerve wracking but ended up not being so bad.

Our Young Women leaders had this cute ghost bean bag game

The Young Men did a fishing booth and some of the kids won...

real fish. boy oh boy was K ever excited!

we also had a put put golf game
face painting, a duck pond, basketball shoot and a cake walk to name a few. It was so much fun and I appreciate all of the ward members who helped me pull this thing together.
B definately has him wrapped around her finger

Daddy's little princess!

On Halloween we went to Tom and Amy's trunk or treat in our old ward. It was so good to catch up with some of the people I haven't seen in a while. Afterwards we went trick or treating in the neighborhood. Here is our group. R and I didn't dress up I honestly never had the time to even think about a costume for me. K was superman, J a ninja turtle B a ballerina Justin and Dallin Thomas the Tank Engine Isaac Mickey Tom a nerd and Amy a witch.
B loves purses and thought it was great that people were putting things in her "purse"
going for more candy!
R and I playing around with the camera
all three kids were zonked out within minutes of loading up. Looks like B enjoyed her chocolate.

Kids Halloween Party

Every year I throw a Halloween party for my kids and their friends. It is one of my favorite parties that we do annually. I just love to see all of the darling costumes and the kids seem to love it and are so appreciative.

Here's a picture of the gang. Yes B was the only girl this year, but she didn't seem to mind.

Everytime I put B in her costume she says "I piiiiity" (I'm pretty) R taught her how to twirl around it's so cute, she puts her hands on her head spins. Sooo cute!
Watch out for this tuff guy ninja turtle!
Super Man K saves the day.

After pictures we played some games like build a skeleton race. I'm kind of suprized at what big hit this game was. The kids really got into this and were working so fast and really funny to watch. The prize for this game was spider rings. (I always give prizes to everyone)
I really didn't get any pictures of the games so I had B model them for me today. We played a ghost bean bag toss and these ghost rice crispey treats were the prize.
Next was a witches cauldron candy toss, they had to wear a wiches hat and toss three different kinds of candy into the cauldron and the candy was the prize.

We made sucker ghost and then decorated sugar cookies

We didn't get to the rest of the games because we ran out of time but we were going to play pin the face on the pumpkin with little pumpkin clickers as the prize.

I made these mummy bowling pins last year out of a bowling set from the dollar store. I cover them in medical tape and added google eyes and voila. Halloween pencils were the prize.

For dinner we enjoyed mummy pizza's

creepy spider web pizza's along with mummy dogs, nacho's, apples with dip and pretzels.
The kids got to pick a can of pop out of the pumpkin. They thought that was great.
I could not have pulled this off with out the help of two of my bff's. They got the food heated and ready to go for me along with helping with all the other activities. They are always so much for to have around and I'm so glad they are apart of our lives. Thanks for your help ladies!

Fun with friends.

We had the Cowley kids over to play Friday. We got out some craft supplies and they all had a blast. They were so fun to listen to and I was surprized at how long it kept them occupied.

B didn't want to miss out on the fun and came up with a very important job of her own.

To keep Isaac occupied with as many toys as he wanted. Isaac had just finished eating and before I got him out of the high chair B was getting him all kinds of toys to play with.

They sure are the best of buds!

A trip down memory lane

Here's a cute fun new tag. Give it a try.

1. As a comment on my blog, leave a fun memory that you and I had together. (If you know R better, you can do one of him.)

2. Next, re-post these instructions on your blog and see how many people leave a memory about you. It's actually pretty funny to see the responses. If you leave a memory about me, I'll assume you're playing the game and I'll come to your blog and leave one about you.

My friend that tagged me on this has such a cute blog but it's private but I thought I'd post what I wrote here anyway.

Hmm this is a toughy. I think some of my favorite ones are when you, Karalee, Shauna and I went to California for the weekend and ran out of our room in the middle of the night to find the vending machine then we forgot which room we were in and thought Karalee had locked us out and started pounding on door for her to open up, I still die laughing every time I think about it!

Also I chuckle everytime I think about when you and Brad first met and Karalee and I were trying to reassure you both how into the other you both were. You both needed the reassurance and then he finally asked you out and it's been history from then on.

Best of all, I just remember us laughing so hard together that we'd cry and be rolling around on the floor, gasping for air to breathe (and of course I would be snorting). Man, we had a lot of good times together. Thank you for being such an awesome friend. Love Ya!!
