cheep cheep

The Haynies just got chickens and asked if we wanted to raise some too.
The kids were so excited about it
Alan made this coop for us and the boys helped him set it up in our yard.
The girls treat them like babies.  :)
 Everybody loves them.
I am excited for the eggs which should come in August or September.

Easter

General Conference this year fell on Easter weekend.  We loved hearing the wonderful messages of conference.  Always such a sweet experience.  Between sessions on Saturday we decorated our Eggs.  I so how did not take a single picture of Easter Morning though.

hahahahahahhaa

I LOVE April Fools day.  This year I fancied up the kids school lunch with potato head type sandwhich accessories, snakes in their grapes and sprite in their water bottles.
For dinner I made chicken pillows served on toy dishes and salad in a toy cup.  The kids got a kick out of it all.

one year older

We have another teenager in the house.
We just adore this lego loving,
super hero obsessing boy.
Lil sis helped decorate a candy card for J.  We did a Flash Super hero cake which the Birthday boy loved.  Of course we had poppy seed chicken for dinner per J's request.
J is such a good, sweet, funny young man.  He is our peace maker and has such a way with kids.  Lil sis really wanted to blow out the candles and he only blew out half so she could blow too.  I feel so lucky to get to be his mom.

BFFs

When lil Sis woke up from her nap Daddy was about to head out to work.
It was the perfect time for an impromptu tea party.
 These two
 really are
 the very best
 of friends!
She adores him, he adores her, I adore them both!

Therapy

Sweet J frog has been so tough and determined to heal from his broken femur back in Feb.
He goes to physical therapy twice a week and is doing so well.  The work him hard and tell them they want him to be sore, and boy is he ever.  Despite all the pain he never complains.  He has been such a great example to me.

Above and Beyond!

In March
Ry was awarded special recognition for his part in apprehending an awful criminal who had robbed a Jack in the box manager with a hatchet.  It was terrifying to here about the case but makes me so proud to be married to such a brave courageous man.  With all the hate against law enforcement going on across the nation it was very refreshing to see him presented this award from his Commander.  We met at a beautiful Hotel and were served a delicious lunch.  I'm so proud of Ry and his ability to think quick and resolve conflict.  He is our Hero!!!
